Jill Crandall, Junior (Roseville, Minn.), of UW-River Falls
Crandall provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship in the
heptathlon with 4,538 points at the Drake Relays. She was the only NCAA Division
III athlete to participate in the 20-person event. Crandall's point total ranks
sixth in the NCAA Division III this year.

Hilgers won the pole vault at the UW-La Crosse Classic on April 30 with a NCAA
Division III provisional qualifying mark of 12-1 1/2.

Breanna McMullen, Senior (Fall Creek), of UW-Eau Claire
McMullen grabbed a victory in the 400-meter hurdles at the Manitou Classic on
April 23. She posted a provisional qualifying time of 1:03.91 in the event.
McMullen also took sixth place in the 100-meter hurdles and was a member of
the second-place 4x400-meter relay team.

Marci Schachtner, Senior (Deer Park/Clear Lake), of UW-Stout
Schachtner won the hammer throw, easily beating 44 other competitors at the
Manitou Classic on April 23. She hit a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying
mark of 162-0, taking the event by nearly 17 feet. The mark currently places
her sixth in the country.

Taddy won the 1,500-meter run at the NCAA Division I Western Illinois Invitational
in a time of 4:33.14. It is both a NCAA Division III automatic qualifying mark
and a new UW-Platteville outdoor record.

Miller finished first in the high jump at the Blugold Open on April 16 with
a height of 5-6 1/2 (1.69m) to provisionally qualify for the NCAA Division III
Championship. Her performance ranks eighth in NCAA Division III this year.

Johnson set school records in two events at the Wartburg (Iowa) Select Meet
on April 9. She was second in the 100-meter dash (12.38) and in the 200-meter
dash (25.60).

Robyn Jarocki, Junior (Merrill), of UW-Oshkosh
Jarocki won two events and finished third in another to help UW-Oshkosh capture
the team title at the 14-team Coldman Invitational on April 9 with 196 team
points. She finished first in the discus with a school-record toss of 162-09
and the hammer throw with a fling of 191-10. She also finished third in the
shot put with a hurl of 41-1. Jarocki's performance in the discus and hammer
throw surpassed the automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III
Championships.

Rudd won the 5,000-meter run at the North Central (Ill.) Quadrangular on April
2 with a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 17:33.97. Her time
is first in NCAA Division III this season.

Laura Verdegan, Senior (Tony/Flambeau), of UW-Stout
Verdegan won two events and finished second in three others in leading UW-Stout
to a first-place finish at the 10-team Elmhurst (Ill.) Quad-Plus on April 2.
She won the long jump in a provisional qualifying distance of 18-4 1/4 and the
triple jump with a leap of 37-1 3/4. Verdegan was second in the 100-meter hurdles
(16.01), 400-meter hurdles (1:07.55) and as a member of the 4 x 400-meter relay
team (4:14.02).
