Week of Feb. 16 - 22
Ashley Baker, Senior (Vesper), Forward of UW-Stevens Point
Baker helped UW-Stevens Point secure the program’s fourth WIAC championship with wins over UW-La Crosse and UW-Platteville. Against the Eagles on Feb. 18, she converted all eight of her field goal attempts and both of her free throw attempts to finish with a team-high 18 points. She also grabbed three rebounds (all defensive) and had one assist and one steal. Playing only 14 minutes against the Pioneers on Feb. 21, Baker scored 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. She grabbed four rebounds (three defensive) and had one assist and one blocked shot.

Week of Feb. 9 - 15
Tiffany Morton, Senior (Beloit/Memorial), Center of UW-Whitewater
Morton recorded her 13th double-double of the season, and school-record tying 27th of her career in UW-Whitewater’s 69-56 win at UW-Platteville on Feb. 11. She had 27 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. Morton grabbed 17 rebounds (9 defensive) and had four blocked shots and three assists. In a 61-59 victory over No. 5-ranked UW-Stevens Point on Feb. 14, she scored 10 points, grabbed nine rebounds and added two assists and one blocked shot.

Week of Feb. 2 - 8
Alise Holst, Freshman (Plainview, Minn./Plainview-Elgin-Millville), Forward of UW-River Falls
Holst played a key role in the team’s two WIAC wins last week, including a 69-63 triumph over No. 5-ranked UW-Eau Claire. Against the Blugolds, she scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds, dished out three assists, blocked one shot and recorded four steals. In a road win at UW-Superior, Holst registered a game-high 18 points and career-best six steals. She also added two blocked shots and two assists. In the two games, she was 12-of-18 from the field, had 14 rebounds (seven offensive), 10 steals, five assists and three blocked shots.

Heather Witt, Senior (Kendall/Royall), Guard of UW-Eau Claire
Witt helped the Blugolds to a 71-50 victory over No. 2-ranked UW-Whitewater and a 70-43 triumph over UW-Superior. Against the Warhawks, she poured in a career-high 28 points and recorded a game-best four steals to go along with four rebounds (all defensive) and three assists. Witt was 11-for-21 from the field and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. In 26 minutes of playing time against the Yellowjackets, she contributed eight points and recorded game-highs with seven assists and five steals.

Week of Jan. 19 - 25
Julia Hirssig, Junior (Rochester, Minn./Mayo), Forward of UW-Stout
Hirssig scored a career-best 37 points and cracked the 1000-point barrier in an 83-69 win over UW-Platteville on Jan. 24. She was nearly flawless in the game, draining 13-of-14 shots from the floor and 11-of-13 from the free-throw line, while collecting 10 rebounds to record her ninth double-double of the season. Her 37 points tied her for 15th on the all-time WIAC single-game scoring list. Hirssig opened the game by scoring six of UW-Stout's first 12 points in less than five minutes of play and finished the first half with 16 points. She was coming off a 26-point performance in a 76-73 win at UW-Superior on Jan. 21, where she pulled down 13 rebounds. On the week, Hirssig scored 63 points, shot 22-of-32 (68.8 percent) from the floor and 19-of-24 (79.2 percent) from the free-throw stripe. She collected 23 total rebounds (12 defensive) and had four steals.

Morton helped UW-Whitewater to a 69-63 triumph at UW-Stout on Jan. 17 after totaling 20 points, 11 rebounds (eight defensive), a season-high six blocked shots and two assists. She converted 7-of-14 shots from the field and 6-of-9 from the free-throw stripe in the contest. It was the eighth time this season that she has reached the 20-point mark and her conference-leading ninth double-double of the season.

Britta Petersen, Sophomore (Luck), Forward of UW-Stevens Point
Petersen reached double figures in scoring in three Pointer victories during the week. In a 75-46 victory over UW-Platteville on Jan. 10, Petersen tallied a career-high 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting (71.4 percent) from the field and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. She also grabbed six rebounds (three defensive), dished out four assists, blocked three shots and recorded two steals in the contest. Petersen opened the week with 12 points, five rebounds (two defensive), four assists and two steals against Lawrence University on Jan. 5. She followed that performance with 11 points and four blocked shots in 17 minutes of playing time in a 71-51 triumph over UW-River Falls on Jan. 7.

Morton helped UW-Whitewater to three victories during the week after averaging 21.3 points and 14.7 rebounds per contest. In a 79-68 victory over Union College (N.Y.) on Dec. 28, she poured in 27 points and hauled in 16 rebounds (13 defensive). She converted 10-of-15 shots from the field and 7-of-10 from the free throw line. Against Calvin College (Mich.) on Dec. 30, Morton tallied 14 points and pulled down 19 rebounds (11 defensive) as the Warhawks emerged with a 67-53 win. In a 66-52 triumph over UW-River Falls on Jan. 3, she compiled 23 points and nine rebounds (5 offensive). Morton’s totals on the week also included eight blocked shots, four assists and two steals.

Mackenzie Hunter, Senior (Eau Claire/Regis), Forward of UW-La Crosse
Hunter had a game-high 22 points in UW-La Crosse's 72-66 victory at Luther College (Iowa) on Dec. 19. She was 8-of-15 from the field and 6-of-7 at the free throw line. Hunter also had three rebounds (all defensive), two assists, two steals and two blocked shots. She moved into sixth-place on the school’s all-time scoring with 1,185 points.

Hirssig collected her second and third double-doubles of the season as she led UW-Stout to identical 80-57 wins over UW-River Falls (Dec. 10) and UW-Oshkosh (Dec. 13). Against the Falcons, Hirssig poured in a game-high and season-best 25 points, shooting 9-of-12 from the field and 7-of-11 from the free throw line. She collected a game-high 11 rebounds (seven defensive) and had three blocked shots. Against the Titans, she scored a game-best 22 points, again hitting 9-of-12 from the floor and 4-of-7 from the line. Hirssig grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds (six defensive), had two blocked shots and one steal. On the week, Hirssig scored 47 points, shot 18-of-24 from the floor (75.0 percent), 11-of-18 from the line (61.1 percent), had 25 rebounds (12 offensive, 13 defensive), five blocked shots and a steal.

Heidi Arciszewski, Senior (Thorp), Guard of UW-Eau Claire
Arciszewski helped the Blugolds to wins over UW-Stout and NCAA Division II opponent University of Minnesota-Duluth. In a 67-52 triumph over the Bulldogs in Duluth, she recorded 15 points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds. Against the Blue Devils, Arciszewski poured in career-high 31 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds in a 73-68 victory. The 31 points were also a game-best and the highest single-game total in the conference this season. She went 16-of-16 from the free throw line in the contest to match the school record for most free throws made in a game.

Week of Nov. 24 - 30
Hannah Mesick, Sophomore (Chatfield, Minn.), Center of UW-Eau Claire
Mesick helped UW-Eau Claire to three wins during the week, including victories over a pair of NCAA tournament qualifiers from last season. In a 66-57 upset win over No. 16-ranked St. Norbert College on Nov. 25, she scored 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field and grabbed three rebounds as the Blugolds handed the Green Knights their first loss of the year. In the UW-Eau Claire Thanksgiving Showcase, she earned Tournament MVP honors after recording 19 points in a 60-54 championship game triumph against previously unbeaten UW-Stevens Point. Mesick converted 9-of-12 shots from the field, grabbed five rebounds, had two blocked shots and dished out one assist against the Pointers. In the semifinal contest against St. Olaf College (Minn.), she contributed 10 points and one rebound in an 80-45 win.

Mackenzie Hunter, Senior (Eau Claire/Regis), Forward of UW-La Crosse
Hunter was named the MVP of the Wildwood Lodge Tip-Off Tournament at Concordia University-St. Paul (Minn.). She averaged 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.5 assists in two contests, while shooting 54.8 percent from the field and 17-of-17 at the free throw line. Hunter scored 27 points with a career-high 11 rebounds in UW-La Crosse's 87-73 victory over NCAA Division II Bemidji State University (Minn.) on Nov. 21. She scored her 1,000th career point in the game and after finishing with 26 points in an 82-60 loss to NCAA II Concordia University-St. Paul on Nov. 22, she now has 1,044 points. Hunter ranks 13th in school history in scoring.
