Megan Fischer, Junior (Manitowoc/Lincoln), Leftside Hitter of UW-Oshkosh
Fischer led UW-Oshkosh to a 4-0 record at the UW-Whitewater Invitational held Oct. 31-Nov. 1. UW-Oshkosh (34-2) defeated No. 10-ranked Carthage College, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22, Lakeland College, 25-18, 25-20, 25-17, Trinity International University (Ill.), 31-33, 25-18, 25-19, 19-25, 15-12, and Elmhurst College (Ill.), 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, to capture its sixth tournament title of the season. Fischer accumulated 54 kills (3.6 per set) on 132 total attempts for a .288 hitting percentage during the four matches. She also added seven digs and five blocks. Fischer had 14 kills and a .419 hitting percentage against Carthage College, 11 kills and a .375 hitting percentage against Lakeland College and 17 kills and a .412 hitting percentage against Elmhurst College. Fischer added 12 kills in the win over Trinity International University.

Jacque Ray, Junior (Richland Center), Middle Blocker of UW-Oshkosh
Ray helped No. 10-ranked UW-Oshkosh enjoy a big week as the Titans posted a 5-0 record, captured a share of the WIAC championship and won the UW-La Crosse Invitational title. UW-Oshkosh opened its activity for the week with a 3-1 (25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 25-16) victory over UW-Platteville Oct. 22. Ray led the Titans to a share of their third WIAC championship in four years by hitting .562 with nine kills, four digs and three blocks. UW-Oshkosh extended its winning streak to 10 consecutive matches by going undefeated in four contests at the UW-La Crosse Invitational held Oct. 24-25. The Titans won the event by defeating Simpson College (Iowa), 25-21, 25-16, 25-23, seventh-ranked Carthage College, 18-25, 25-22, 34-32, 29-27, Luther College (Iowa), 25-13, 25-16, 25-22, and eighth-ranked California State University-East Bay 23-25, 26-24, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12. Ray was named to the all-tournament team after hitting .213 with 34 kills, five digs and 10 blocks. Ray played in all 19 sets during the week and hit .264 with 43 kills, 10 blocks and nine digs.

Week of Oct. 13 - 19
Caitlin Hogan, Sophomore (New London), Rightside Hitter of UW-Whitewater
Hogan helped UW-Whitewater to three victories during the week, including a win at WIAC leading UW-Eau Claire. She had 17 kills against the Blugolds and finished with 35 on the week (3.5 per set). Hogan led the team in kills in all three matches, had a .245 hitting percentage and was credited with eight digs, five assists and three service aces. The Warhawks also defeated UW-Stevens Point and UW-Superior during the week.

Week of Oct. 6 - 12
Christina Cahoon, Sophomore (Watertown), Libero of UW-Oshkosh
Cahoon helped UW-Oshkosh win all five of its matches during the week, including a 3-1 victory over UW-La Crosse Oct. 8. In UW-Oshkosh’s win over UW-La Crosse, Cahoon totaled 33 digs and one service ace to help the Titans secure a home match for the quarterfinal round of next month’s WIAC Tournament. Cahoon capped her week’s performance by earning the Most Valuable Player Award at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational held Oct. 10-11. The Titans swept (3-0) UW-Superior, Monmouth College (Ill.), College of St. Catherine (Minn.) and Lawrence University to improve their record to 25-2 on the season. Cahoon totaled 66 digs in the tournament, including 24 in the Titans’ victory over UW-Superior.

Amber Schoonover, Senior (Tomah), Outside Hitter of UW-La Crosse
Schoonover was named to the Millikin University (Ill.) All-Tournament Team. She had 51 kills and 31 digs in four matches, recording double-digit kills in all four matches as the Eagles went 3-1 in the tournament and 4-1 on the week. Schoonover had 17 kills in a victory over Anderson University (Ill.). She also had eight kills and 15 digs in UW-La Crosse's 3-1 win over No. 12-ranked UW-Whitewater Oct. 1.

Keri Klotzbuecher, Freshman (Clintonville), Outside Hitter of UW-Whitewater
Klotzbuecher helped UW-Whitewater to a 4-1 record during the week and recorded double-digit kills in all five matches and led the team in kills in four of the five contests. She registered a double-double in kills and digs against Iowa Wesleyan. In 19 sets played during the week, Klotzbuecher recorded 64 kills, 40 digs, six service aces, five total blocks, two assists and had a .259 hitting percentage. The Warhawks beat Iowa Wesleyan, Augustana College (Ill.), Aurora University (Ill.) and Luther College (Iowa) after dropping a close contest to No. 9-ranked UW-Oshkosh.

Smith helped UW-Eau Claire to a pair of WIAC road victories over UW-La Crosse and UW-Platteville during the weekend. In the match against the Eagles, the Blugolds were down 14-10 in the fifth set, but stormed back for the victory after Smith served the match-winning ace. In 10 sets played, Smith accumulated 55 digs (5.5 per set) and six service aces.

Scheele helped lead the Falcons to a 3-1 record at the Ripon Invitational Tournament held Sept. 13-14. She was named to the All-Tournament team after leading the Falcons in kills in all four matches and topping the squad in digs in three matches. Scheele averaged 3.69 kills and 4.07 digs per set. She finished with a .242 hitting percentage and had two service aces and two block assists.

Stankus was named to the Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 3.63 kills, 1.00 assists and 3.25 digs per game, while hitting .295 in four matches. She had double-digit kills in all four matches, including 19 against College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) Sept. 6. Stankus recorded double-double kills and digs in three different matches.

Katelyn Vara, Junior (New Berlin/West), Setter of UW-Oshkosh
Vara was named the Most Valuable Player at the Molten Volleyball Pikes Peak Challenge held Aug. 29-30 in Colorado Springs, Colo. UW-Oshkosh took first place in the five-team tournament after defeating UW-Platteville (3-1), Colby-Sawyer College (N.H.) (3-0), The College of St. Catherine (Minn.) (3-0) and host Colorado College (3-2). Vara played in 15 games during the four matches and totaled 134 assists, 37 digs and four service aces. She compiled 32 assists and six digs against WIAC-rival UW-Platteville and 48 assists and nine digs against Colorado College.
