UW-River Falls' Tvrdik Named To Women's Volleyball Academic All-America Team

Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls' Melissa Tvrdik has
been named to the 2003 CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division Women's
Volleyball Third Team.
Tvrdik, a senior from Farwell, Minn. (Minnewaska Area H.S.), is the first women's
volleyball player in school history to receive Academic All-America honors.
She is majoring in psychology and carries a 3.79 grade point average and was
named the conference's scholar-athlete in women's volleyball earlier this season,
while also being named the league's player of the year.
Tvrdik was recently named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA)
All-America First Team after participating in all 41 matches and 150 games for
the Falcons this season, registering 475 kills (3.17 per game), 1,021 kill attempts,
202 digs, 139 blocks, 53 service aces and 16 assists.
The Academic All-America Team is comprised of all NCAA Division II, Division
III and NAIA athletes from around the country and is selected by members of
the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Six Named To Women's Volleyball All-America Team

Madison, Wis.--Six Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC)
women's volleyball players have been named to the 2003 American Volleyball Coaches
Association (AVCA) All-America Team. UW-River Falls' Melissa Tvrdik and UW-Eau
Claire's Brooke Wozniak-Schmidt were named to the first team, while UW-Oshkosh's
Amanda Delgadillo and UW-La Crosse's Elissa Hansen earned second team honors.
UW-River Falls' Krystle Brune and UW-La Crosse's Tanya Foldy were third team
choices.
Tvrdik, a senior middle hitter from Farwell, Minn. (Minnewaska Area H.S.), earned
All-America honors for the second straight season after claiming second team
accolades a year ago. She ranks second on UW-River Falls' all-time list with
a .325 career hitting percentage, third with 1,191 career kills and fifth with
2,648 career attempts. Tvrdik was named the league's player of the year this
season after ranking third in the conference with a .347 hitting percentage
and 11th with 3.17 kills per contest. She also registered double-digits in kills
in 30-of-39 matches in 2003.
Tvrdik becomes the third All-America First Team pick in school history, joining
Jennifer Frodl and Cara Gustafson who both claimed the honor in 1996.
Wozniak-Schmidt, a senior middle blocker from Stanley, Wis. (Stanley-Boyd H.S.),
is UW-Eau Claire's all-time leader with 367 career blocks, while ranking fifth
with 1,298 career kills and sixth with a .315 career hitting percentage. She
led the conference with a .371 hitting percentage this year, while placing fourth
with 3.63 kills per game and fifth with 1.15 blocks per contest.
Wozniak-Schmidt is the fourth Blugold in school history to earn All-America
First Team honors, joining Maria Jensen (1997), Michelle Arganbright (1994)
and Kristi Griggs (1988).
Delgadillo, a senior outside hitter from West Allis, Wis. (Hale H.S.), started
all 38 matches for UW-Oshkosh this season and played in all 139 games. She led
the league with 4.35 kills per game, while ranking second with 4.71 digs per
contest and sixth with 0.56 service aces per game. Her 604 kills this year were
the fifth-highest single-season total in conference history.
Hansen, a senior outside hitter from West Bend, Wis. (West H.S.), became the
fourth UW-La Crosse player in school history to have 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs
in a career, finishing with 1,228 kills and 1,454 digs. She ranked fifth in
the conference with 0.56 service aces per game and sixth with 3.34 kills per
contest. Hansen's 457 kills this year ranked fourth on the school's single-season
list.
Brune, a senior outside hitter from Oakdale, Minn. (Tartan H.S.), established
a school single-season record with 1,456 kill attempts this season and also
tops the school's all-time chart with 531 career games played, 1,707 career
kills and 4,874 career kill attempts. She ranked fifth in the league with 3.56
kills per contest during the 2003 campaign and finished with double-digits in
kills in 27 of the team's 41 matches.
Foldy, a sophomore setter from Muskego, Wis., set a single-season school record
with 1,641 assists this year, breaking Megan Eklund's record of 1,437 set in
1988. She ranks second on school's all-time list with 3,044 career assists.
Foldy played in 140 games this season and ranked third in the league with 11.72
assists per game.
UW-Whitewater's Megan Kay and Michelle Stanislawski received honorable mention
to the All-America squad. Kay is a senior middle blocker, while Stanislawski
is a junior setter for the Warhawks.

Pair Named To Women's Volleyball Academic All-District Team

Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls' Melissa Tvrdik and
UW-Eau Claire's Brooke Wozniak-Schmidt have been named to the 2003 CoSIDA Academic
All-District Five College Division Women's Volleyball Team. Tvrdik was named
to the first team, while Wozniak-Schmidt received third team recognition.
The team is comprised of all NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA players
from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota and is voted on by members of
the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

UW-Eau Claire's Brooke Wozniak-Schmidt, UW-La Crosse's Tanya Foldy and Elissa Hansen, UW-Oshkosh's Amanda Delgadillo, UW-River Falls' Krystle Brune and Melissa Tvrdik and UW-Whitewater's Megan Kay and Michelle Stanislawski all were named to the 12-member regional team. UW-Platteville's Dana Alf was named the Midwest Region Freshman of the Year and UW-La Crosse head coach Sheila Perkins was recognized as the Midwest Region Coach of the Year by the AVCA.

Hansen, a senior outside hitter from West Bend, Wis. (West H.S.), ranks sixth in the WIAC with 3.38 kills per game and 0.58 service aces per contest. Her 449 kills this year ranks fifth on UW-La Crosse's single-season list, while her 77 aces are seventh most. Hansen is third on the school's all-time list with 1,220 career kills and fifth with 1,443 career digs.
Delgadillo, a senior outside hitter from West Allis, Wis. (Hale H.S.), leads the league with 4.35 kills per game and ranks second with 4.71 digs per game and sixth with 0.56 services aces per contest. Her 604 kills this season rank fifth on the conference's single-season list.
Brune, a senior outside hitter from Oakdale, Minn. (Tartan H.S.), ranks fifth in the conference with 3.56 kills per game and her 1,456 kill attempts this season rank in the top 10 on the school's single-season chart.

She was named the league's Player of the Year earlier this season and ranks third in the conference with a .347 hitting percentage, while placing 11th with 3.17 kills per game and 0.93 blocks per contest.
Kay, a senior middle blocker from Dickeyville, Wis. (Cuba City H.S.), is third in the league with 1.35 blocks per game and ranks fourth with a .331 hitting percentage.
Stanislawski, a junior setter from Milwaukee, Wis. (Thomas More H.S.), leads the WIAC with 12.62 assists per game. Her 1,704 assists this year established a school record, breaking the mark of 1,539 previously held by Dana Van Zeeland in 1997. Stanislawski's total is also sixth on the conference's single-season list.
Alf, a freshman middle hitter from Eleva, Wis. (Eleva-Strum), became the second straight individual from the league to win the regional freshman of the year award after UW-Stout's Tanille Zenner claimed the honor a year ago. Alf played in 122 of 125 games for the Pioneers and registered 312 kills (2.56 per game), 101 blocks (0.83 per game), 41 digs and 31 assists.
Perkins was named the WIAC Coach of the Year in 2003 for the first time in
her career. She led the Eagles to a share of the school's first conference championship
since 1986 and claimed their first WIAC Tournament title.
Perkins is 342-217 (.612) in 17 years as a collegiate head coach, including
240-106 (.694) in 10 seasons at UW-La Crosse. She has directed the Eagles to
nine straight 20-win seasons and three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances
in the last seven years.
UW-Eau Claire's Becca Carstensen, UW-La Crosse's Rachel Kreuser and UW-River Falls' Nina Petersen received honorable mention to the All-Midwest Region squad.

UW-River Falls' Tvrdik Headlines All-WIAC Women's Volleyball Team

Falls' Melissa Tvrdik was voted the 2003 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (WIAC) Player of the Year, headlining the 12-member All-WIAC Women's
Volleyball Team, which was recently selected by the league coaches.
Tvrdik helped the Falcons to a share of the WIAC championship for the second
straight season and a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Falcons
have also registered the most wins (34) since the 1995 squad posted 38 victories.
Tvrdik earned All-WIAC First Team recognition a year ago after claiming honorable
mention honors in 2001. She ranks third in the league with a .358 hitting percentage,
while placing 10th with 3.20 kills per game. Tvrdik leads the team with 131
total blocks, 112 block assists and 19 solo blocks. She has recorded double-digit
kills in 30 of 39 matches this season and registered a career-high 14 digs against
UW-Whitewater on September 20 and Nebraska Wesleyan on October 10.
Tvrdik currently ranks third on
the school's all-time list with 1,191 career kills and is fifth with 2,648 career
kill attempts. In 412 career games played, she has a .325 hitting percentage,
334 digs, 102 service aces, 35 assists, 50 solo blocks, 329 block assists and
379 total blocks. Additionally, Tvrdik has recorded double-digit kills in 68
of 111 career matches played.
Tvrdik becomes the second player
in school history to win the player of the year honor, joining Melissa Mattson
who claimed the award during the 2000 season.
Tvrdik is joined on the first team
by teammates Krystle Brune and Nina Petersen. Brune earned her third straight
first team honor and ranks fifth in the league with 3.56 kills per game and
is fourth on the team with 65 total blocks. Her 1,359 kill attempts this year
rank in the top 10 on the league's single-season list. Petersen earned honorable
mention status a year ago and is currently second on the team with 1,016 kill
attempts and third with 2.69 kills per game and 102 total blocks.
UW-La Crosse's Tanya Foldy and
Elissa Hansen helped the Eagles to a share of the regular season title, the
school's first since 1986, the WIAC Tournament championship and a spot in the
NCAA Division III Tournament. Foldy earned her first career league honor and
ranks fourth in the conference with 11.67 assists per contest. Her 1,505 assists
this season established a school single-season record. Hansen earned first team
recognition for the second straight season and ranks third in the league with
.60 service aces per game, while placing sixth with 3.38 kills per contest.
UW-Oshkosh recorded its fifth straight 20-win season (29-9) and had two individuals
recognized on the first team. Amanda Delgadillo earned her second consecutive
first team honor after leading the league with 4.35 kills per game and ranking
second with 4.71 digs per game and sixth with .56 service aces per contest.
Her 604 kills this year rank in the top five of the conference's single-season
list.
UW-Oshkosh's Amber Petersen leads
the conference with 1.60 blocks per game, while ranking second with a .369 hitting
percentage and fifth with .57 service aces per game. She earned honorable mention
accolades a year ago.
UW-Whitewater's Megan Kay and Michelle
Stanislawski helped the Warhawks to their 12th consecutive NCAA Division III
Tournament appearance this year. Kay ranks third in the WIAC with 1.36 blocks
per game, while placing fourth with a .331 hitting percentage. Stanislawski
was named to the All-WIAC Defensive Team a year ago and currently leads the
league with 12.81 assists per game. Her 1,614 assists this season rank in the
top 10 on the conference's single-season list.
UW-Eau Claire had a pair of individuals
earn first team honors after helping the squad to a 23-10 mark. Brooke Wozniak-Schmidt
earned first team accolades for the second straight season, after earning honorable
mention in 2001. She leads the league with a .371 hitting percentage, while
ranking fourth with 3.63 kills per game and fifth with 1.15 blocks per contest.
Becca Carstensen ranks fourth in the conference with 1.18 blocks per game and
.57 service aces per contest, while placing sixth with a .329 hitting percentage.
UW-Stout's Gretchen Schroer earned
her first career league honor after ranking ninth in the conference with 3.23
kills per game and placing 11th with a .264 hitting percentage.

a four-member all-defensive team for the 2003 season. Individuals receiving
recognition included: UW-Eau Claire's Missy Malvitz, UW-La Crosse's Annalee
Erdmann, UW-Oshkosh's Jackie Regester and UW-Platteville's Tracey Kuehne. Kuehne
leads the conference with 4.76 digs per game, while Malvitz ranks fifth (4.31),
Regester places seventh (3.96) and Erdmann is ninth (3.77).
UW-La Crosse head coach Sheila
Perkins was voted the Coach of the Year by the league coaches, marking the first
time in her career she has won the award. Perkins directed the Eagles to their
first league title since 1986 and a 31-5 overall record, establishing the most
wins since the 1992 season (31). In her 10 seasons at UW-La Crosse, Perkins
has compiled a 238-106 (.692) record.

UW-River Falls' Tvrdik Named Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athlete

Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls' Melissa Tvrdik has
been named the 2003 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Judy
Kruckman Women's Volleyball Scholar-Athlete, it was announced recently by WIAC
Commissioner Gary Karner.
Tvrdik, a senior from Farwell, Minn. (Minnewaska Area H.S.), is majoring in
psychology with a minor in sociology and maintains a 3.80 grade point average.
She is a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and has been named
to UW-River Falls' Dean's List every semester she has been enrolled at UW-River
Falls. Tvrdik has also earned an academic scholarship from the school's psychology
department.
Tvrdik helped the Falcons to a share of the WIAC championship for the second
straight season this year and was named the league's Player of the Year, while
earning All-WIAC First Team honors for the second consecutive season. She was
named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Second
Team and All-Midwest Region Team a year ago. Tvrdik was recognized as her team's
Player of the Year last season and the Most Improved Player in 2001. She currently
ranks third on the school's all-time career kills list and has recorded double-digit
kills in 68 of 111 career matches.
Tvrdik is a member of Psi Chi National Honor Society and is currently serving
as vice president. She has also worked with autistic children.
Tvrdik becomes the second women's volleyball student-athlete in school history
to receive the league's top scholastic honor, joining Melissa Mattson who won
the award in 2000.

for the scholar-athlete award, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.25 grade
point average, be in their last year of competition, or on schedule to graduate
this academic year, and have competed for a minimum of two years.

Three Women's Volleyball Teams Receive NCAA Tournament Bids

Madison, Wis.--Three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC)
women's volleyball teams have received bids to the NCAA Division III Tournament
and will participate in regional competition hosted by UW-La Crosse Thursday-Saturday,
November 13-15 at Mitchell Hall.
UW-La Crosse (31-5) earned the conference's automatic bid into the national
tournament by capturing the league tournament with a 30-21, 30-17, 30-28 victory
over UW-River Falls on Saturday, November 8. UW-Whitewater (27-9), the defending
national champion, and UW-River Falls (34-5) each received one of 12 at-large
bids into the 48-team tournament.
UW-La Crosse is the top seed in the six-team regional and, along with second-seeded
UW-River Falls, will get a bye in Thursday's first round. In Thursday's first
match, fourth-seed Elmhurst College (Ill.) (29-10) faces fifth-seed Concordia-Moorhead
(Minn.) (25-7) at 4:30 p.m. Third-seeded UW-Whitewater will play sixth-seeded
Lakeland College, Wis. (21-15) Thursday at 7 p.m.
Elmhurst earned a bid into the tournament after winning the College Conference
of Illinois and Wisconsin championship, while Concordia-Moorhead won the Minnesota
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference crown and Lakeland won the Lake Michigan
Conference crown.
UW-La Crosse will play the winner of the Elmhurst/Concordia match in one semifinal
Friday at 7 p.m, while UW-River Falls will take on the UW-Whitewater/Lakeland
winner in the other semifinal at 4:30 p.m. The Midwest region championship match
will be played Saturday at 7 p.m.
UW-La Crosse will be making their ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and
first since 1998. UW-River Falls will be making the fifth trip in school history,
and first since 2000, while UW-Whitewater will be appearing in its 12th straight
postseason.
The regional winner advances to the national quarterfinals Saturday, November
22.

UW-La Crosse's Wagner Named AVCA National Player of the Week
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Laura Wagner, has been selected the Sports
Impact/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National
Player of the Week after leading the Eagles to a 5-0 record last week.
Wagner, a 5-11 junior middle blocker from West Bend, Wis. (West H.S.), was named
to the All-Tournament Team at the UW-La Crosse Halloween Classic after pounding
double-figure kills in four of the five matches and registering kill-dig double-doubles
in two of the five outings (12 kills and 10 digs against Coe (Iowa) and 19 kills,
10 digs and seven blocks versus Augustana(Ill.).
She had a lone hitting error in three of the five matches, with a top hitting
percentage of .640 against Augsburg (Minnn.) (17-1-25). Wagner averaged 4.38
kills, 1.81 digs and 1.50 blocks, while hitting at a .436 clip, all bettering
her current season averages.

Madison,
Wis.--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls women's volleyball team defeated
UW-Stout, 30-17, 30-20, 28-30, 30-16, on Wednesday, October 22 at Karges Center
in River Falls, Wis., to earn a share of the 2003 Wisconsin Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference (WIAC) championship with UW-La Crosse after both teams concluded
the league slate with 7-1 records.
The women's volleyball title for the Eagles is the ninth in school history and first since the 1986 season, while the crown for the Falcons is the fourth in school history and third in the last five years.
This marks the third straight season that the women's volleyball crown has been shared between two schools. UW-River Falls shared the title with UW-Whitewater a year ago, while UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater split the crown in 2001.
UW-River Falls earned the top seed in the WIAC Tournament, which begins on November 4, because they defeated UW-La Crosse in their conference dual match on October 18, 30-24, 37-35, 30-25. The Falcons will host eighth seed UW-Superior in the league quarterfinals, while UW-La Crosse will host seventh seed UW-Platteville. Additional quarterfinal matchups include sixth seed UW-Stout at third seed UW-Whitewater and fifth seed UW-Eau Claire at fourth seed UW-Oshkosh. Quarterfinal winners will advance to the league semifinals, which will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on November 7-8.
The winner of the conference tournament will receive the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Tournament.

UW-Eau Claire's Herb Earns 700th Career Victory
UW-Eau Claire head coach Lisa Herb earned her 700th career victory with a 31-33,
30-21, 30-28, 30-28 victory over WIAC co-leader and No. 5-ranked UW-River Falls
at the McPhee Phy Ed Center in Eau Claire on October 8.
The Appleton native is in her 25th season as a collegiate head coach and her
19th at Eau Claire. She owns a 700-273 career record which is a .719 winning
percentage. She becomes only the fourth coach in NCAA Division III volleyball
history to reach the 700 level. The others include Larry Bock of Juniata who
started the season with an amazing 957 victories followed by UW-Whitewater's
Kris Russell, who started at 750, and Cortland State's Joan Sitterly, who started
at 734.
Only nine women's volleyball coaches in Division I and II have reached the 700 level. In women's collegiate basketball, only two coaches at any level have reached 700 wins.
Herb's teams have won 20 or more matches in 20 of the past 22 years, won 30 or more nine times, 40 or more four times and even compiled a 52-3 overall record in her best season of 1987.
Herb was the WIAC Coach of the Year in both 1987 and 1997 and the Midwest Region Coach of the Year in 1997. Last year, she was inducted into the University of Dubuque Hall of Fame.
At UW-Eau Claire, Herb is now 14-6 this season and 537-184 for her career after a 163-89 mark at the University of Dubuque.

UW-Whitewater's Stanislawski Named AVCA National Player of the Week
Michelle Stanislawski, a 5-8 junior setter for sixth-ranked UW-Whitewater (13-3,
2-1 WIAC), has been selected the Sports Imports/American Volleyball Coaches
Association (AVCA) Division III National Player of the Week after leading the
Warhawks to three wins against top 25 teams and a 5-0 overall record last week.
She averaged 12.80 assists, 3.93 digs, 1.00 blocks and 0.33 kills per game,
despite playing in a 6-2 offense for one match. Stanislawski provided 46 assists,
15 digs and six blocks against 20th-ranked UW-Oshkosh to open the week, followed
by 45 assists, 10 digs and six blocks against 23rd-ranked Wartburg (Iowa).
She added 55 assists, 20 digs and four blocks against 22nd-ranked Simpson (Iowa).
For the week, Stanislawski turned in four double-doubles and narrowly missed
out on a fifth against Dubuque (Iowa) as she helped run a 6-2 offense in the
match.

WIAC Coaches Reach Milestones
Three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) coaches recently
reached milestones in their respective sports. UW-Oshkosh volleyball coach
Marty Petersen won her 600th career match, while UW-River Falls volleyball
coach Patti Ford claimed her 300th career victory. UW-Stevens Point football
coach John Miech recently captured his 100th career victory.
Petersen claimed her 600th career victory on September 26 at the UW-Whitewater
Invitational with a 30-22, 30-14, 30-22 win over Dubuque (Iowa). She is the
sixth active NCAA Division III head women's volleyball coach to reach the
600-win plateau, compiling a 602-360 record during her 21 seasons as head
coach of the Titans. Petersen is the second-winningest coach in conference
history.
Ford recorded her 300th career win on September 6 at the Lakeland Invitational
with a 30-24, 30-19, 25-30, 30-26 victory over Lakeland. She is the sixth
coach in league history to reach the coaching milestone. Ford, in her 12th
season guiding the Falcons, has compiled a 310-125 mark.
Miech recorded his 100th career victory with a season-opening 19-15 win at
Augustana (Ill.) to become the sixth WIAC coach ever to reach the milestone.
He has compiled a 102-50-2 record in his 16 seasons with the Pointers.

Three Women's Volleyball Teams Earn AVCA Team Academic Award

Madison, Wis.--Three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women's volleyball teams have earned the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for the 2002-03 academic year. UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse and UW-Stout were recognized for their efforts in the classroom.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors college and high school teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale during the school year. Nominating head coaches must be AVCA members.
Recipients of the award range from NCAA Division I institutions to high school
girls' and boys' teams. The college ranks produced 102 programs that met the
requirements for the award. The breakdown of college representation includes
35 NCAA Division I programs, 18 NCAA Division II programs, 26 NCAA Division
III programs, 15 NAIA programs, one NCCAA institution and seven two-year college
programs.
Several of this year's award recipients achieved success on the court, as well
as in the classroom. A total of 26 teams that earned the AVCA Team Academic
Award also earned a berth in their respective collegiate post-season tournaments.
Historically, schools from 49 states and two countries (outside the United States)
have won the award. For 2002-03, the award-winning programs represent 42 states
and Korea. Wisconsin boasts the most schools having earned the designation with
37 in the 11-year history of the program, and 15 this year.

UW-Superior Names Deadrick Women's Volleyball Head Coach

Superior, Wis.--The University of Wisconsin-Superior
has named Lynne Deadrick as its new Head Women's Volleyball Coach and Senior
Women's Administrator, Provost Dr. David Prior announced.
She joins the Yellowjacket coaching and athletic administrative team after more
than 13 years teaching and coaching at Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minnesota.
"We are extremely pleased that Ms. Deadrick will be joining the staff of
the athletic department," said Provost Dr. David Prior. "She has extensive
experience and is dedicated to serving the needs of student-athletes. On the
court, she has national playing and coaching experience. As an administrator,
she has been dedicated to serving students in their athletic and academic endeavors.
Our student-athletes will definitely benefit from her presence."
Deadrick has been at Vermilion since 1990 when she began as head softball coach.
She has been head volleyball coach since 1992, has served a year each as disabilities
coordinator, women's athletic coordinator, and academic advisor, and has been
a member of the faculty since 1994. Previous to Vermilion, she was a substitute
teacher, and head girls' basketball coach at Ely High School.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for me," Deadrick said. "I look
forward to the new opportunities and the challenges ahead."
As an administrator, Deadrick fills the University's senior women's administrator
role in athletics. This position has been vacant since 2000.
On the court, Deadrick fills the vacant head volleyball coach position. Stephen
Houghton served the Yellowjackets as interim coach for the past year. Deadrick
assumes her new positions in July.
Deadrick earned her master of science in education degree from UW-Superior in
1996. Her bachelor's degree in life science and broad area science and coaching
certification is from University of Minnesota Duluth. She played one season
of volleyball for UMD and a year at College of St. Scholastica. She also was
on the notable 1983 and '84 volleyball teams at Vermilion, where she earned
her associate of arts degree.
Lynne and her husband Shane have two daughters Kayla (12) and Keeley (10) and
one son Cory (7).
