UW-La Crosse Claims Women's Tennis Championship

Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse claimed the 2005 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Tennis Championship following completion of the two-day league tournament at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on October 22-23.

The conference title for the Eagles is the 14th in school history (2005, 2003, 1992, 1991, 1989, 1981, 1979, 1978, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1973, 1972). The 14 league championships are most by any WIAC school in women's tennis.

The 2005 WIAC Women's Tennis Championship was determined by using a combination of the regular season dual meet standings and the conference tournament results.
