Week of Oct. 13 - 19
Singles
Diana Treu, Senior (Mequon/Homestead), of UW-Oshkosh
Competing at No. 2 singles, Treu went unbeaten in matches against UW-Stevens Point, UW-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater to raise her record to 8-6 on the season. Treu defeated UW-Stevens Point's Tiffany Serpico on October 15 in scores of 6-0, 6-4. UW-Eau Claire's Katie Kuzma on October 17 in scores of 6-7, 6-2 (10-6) and UW-Whitewater's Jennifer Stamm on October 18 in scores of 6-0, 6-3.

Kuzma and Stafford led the Blugolds to a 3-0 record last week as they won all three doubles matches in the No. 1 spot. The duo upended UW-River Falls' Jordan Anderson/Amanda Gray, 8-2, UW-Oshkosh's Diana Treu/Lauren Young, 8-3, and UW-Stevens Point's Emily Schlender/Amber Wilkowski, 8-0. Kuzma and Stafford improved to 9-1 in all matches this fall, including 6-0 in WIAC action.

Knobloch played a solid match in the team's meet at UW-La Crosse on Saturday, October 11. She defeated her opponent at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-2, to raise her record in league play to 3-2.

Riedel won both of her No. 1 singles matches this week. She defeated Jenny Stafford of UW-Eau Claire, 6-4, 6-4, and Mercedes Blanch of UW-Oshkosh, 7-5, 6-0. Riedel is now 8-1 in singles play this season, including 3-0 at No. 1 singles (all WIAC matches).

The duo went undefeated in two matches this week at No. 2 doubles against UW-Whitewater and UW-La Crosse. Cadwell and Geissler won impressively against the Eagles with an 8-1 victory, while winning 8-5 against the Warhawks to improve their mark to 3-0 at No. 2 doubles in league action.

Week of Sept. 22 - 28
Singles
Molly Cadwell, Senior (Fridley, Minn.), of UW-Eau Claire
Cadwell took first place in the Fall Classic singles tournament in St. Peter, Minn. Cadwell defeated her second and third round opponents by scores of 8-3 and 8-6, respectively. She beat Jen Edlund of Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.), 8-5 in the quarterfinals, before upending Shelley Getzendanner of Carleton (Minn.), 8-3, in the semifinals. Cadwell then defeated Tasha Allemang of Luther (Iowa), 8-5, to secure the singles title.

Mary Steimle, Senior (Racine/St. Catherine's) and Kristin Chamberlain, Junior (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs), of UW-Whitewater
Steimle and Chamberlain won the consolation crown of the ITA Regional Tournament at St. Peter, Minn. After losing a first round match against a St. Catherine's (Minn.) foe and moving to the consolation bracket, Steimle and Chamberlain defeated Tara Huniker and Kristin Mader of Luther (Iowa), 8-3, in the semifinals and Steph Froehlick and Marie Schulte of Cornell (Iowa), 8-4, to claim the consolation title. Steimle and Chamberlain improved their overall record to 8-1 on the season with their victories.

Blanch compiled a pair of victories during the week at No. 1 singles. On Sept. 16, she defeated Serene Sahar of Lawrence 6-0, 6-1 to help UW-Oshkosh to an 8-1 victory. On Sept. 20, Blanch upended Amy Voight of St. Norbert 6-0, 6-1.

Wilkowski and Orlowski helped UW-Whitewater to a 5-4 victory over NCAA Division I opponent UW-Milwaukee on Sept. 20. The duo defeated Megan Brown and Melissa Hackett of UW-Milwaukee, 8-1, at No. 2 doubles to improve to 3-0 at the No. 2 flight this season.

Riedel won the No. 1 singles flight at the UW-La Crosse Invitational. She went 3-0 in the tournament and defeated Miriam Blom-Skrade of Luther (Iowa) in the championship match. Riedel defeated her first round opponent, 6-1, 6-1, and her second round foe, 7-5, 6-3.

Chamberlain won her No. 1 singles match against her UW-La Crosse on September 5 by a score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 and also placed third at No. 1 singles in the UW-Whitewater Invitational.

Anderson and Gray combined to pick up three wins over the weekend. In the team's 5-4 win over St. Norbert, they picked up an important point with an 8-1 victory. Against Lawrence on Saturday, they took an 8-0 win and came back later on that day for an 8-2 win over Edgewood.
