Week of April 23 - 29
Position
Lyndsey Allen, Senior (Amherst), Secondbase of UW-Oshkosh
Allen hit .455 (10-22) with five home runs, eight RBIs and eight runs scored as UW-Oshkosh posted victories in all eight of its contests to extend its winning streak to 15 consecutive games.  She also compiled a slugging percentage of 1.136, an on-base percentage of .520 and a fielding percentage of 1.000 (19-19). Allen recorded two hits in four of the Titans’ eight games.  She went two-for-two with two home runs, two RBIs and two runs scored during the Titans’ 5-0 win over UW-River Falls on April 28.  She also home runs in UW-Oshkosh’s 3-0 win over UW-Eau Claire on April 27, 10-0 victory over UW-River Falls on April 28 and 7-3 triumph over UW-Stout on April 29.  UW-Oshkosh won all six of its WIAC games to capture its first league championship since 1985.

Pitcher
Ronessa Stampfli, Junior (Brodhead), Righthanded Pitcher of UW-Oshkosh
Stampfli had another big week for UW-Oshkosh as she went unbeaten in four starting assignments, including complete-game shutouts of St. Norbert on April 24, UW-Eau Claire on April 27 and UW-River Falls on April 28.  Her victory over UW-River Falls helped the Titans capture their first WIAC championship since 1985.  Stampfli pitched 26.1 innings without allowing a run.  She yielded just 14 hits and one walk while striking out 51 batters.  Stampfli held UW-Eau Claire, the top-hitting team in the WIAC, to just two hits and St. Norbert to only four.  Her effort against St. Norbert also featured 16 strikeouts.  Stampfli has gone 40.2 innings without allowing a run, the second-longest streak in WIAC history.

Week of April 16 - 22
Position
Amy Gahl, Sophomore (Beloit/Parkview), Leftfield of UW-Whitewater
Gahl batted .563 (18-32) in eight games during the week as the Warhawks compiled a 5-3 record.  She registered nine doubles and one home run for a .938 slugging percentage.  Gahl also scored 15 runs and contributed eight RBIs in the eight games.  In a 2-1 victory over UW-Platteville on April 19, she hit a game-winning two-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh and blasted a game-winning double with two outs in the seventh to give the Warhawks a 9-8 triumph over the University of Chicago (Ill) on April 21.  In the two games against Chicago, Gahl was eight-for-nine with five doubles, four runs scored and three RBIs.

Pitcher
Ronessa Stampfli, Junior (Brodhead), Righthanded Pitcher of UW-Oshkosh
Stampfli appeared in four games for UW-Oshkosh and compiled a 3-0 record with one save.  She pitched a total of 27.1 innings, yielding just two runs (one earned) and 10 hits while striking out 38 batters.  Her earned run average for the four appearances was 0.26.  Stampfli hurled a pair of one-hit shutouts as she beat UW-La Crosse, 3-0, on April 19 and UW-Superior, 3-0, on April 22.  Stampfli had a no-hitter for 6.2 innings against UW-La Crosse and for 5.2 innings against UW-Superior.  She struck out a total of 20 batters in the two contests.  Stampfli also registered a win and a save against UW-Stevens Point on April 17.  In a 4-1 win, she pitched all 11 innings and allowed just six hits and one earned run while striking out 16 batters.  In an 8-3 victory, she pitched the final 2.1 innings to earn the save after yielding one unearned run and two hits.

Week of April 9 - 15
Position
Ashley Hammerbeck, Freshman (Rothschild/D.C. Everest), Outfield of UW-River Falls
Hammerbeck helped the Falcons to six wins last week, including four WIAC road wins, after batting .429 (6-for-14) with three doubles, six runs scored, four RBIs, three walks and one stolen base.  She recorded a hit in four of the six games.  In a 8-6 victory at UW-Platteville on April 14, she tied the game with a two-run double in the fifth.  In a 7-5 win at UW-La Crosse on April 15, Hammerbeck drilled a sixth inning double that ignited a three-run rally to tie the game at 5-5.  She walked three times and scored a pair of runs in a 7-2 win over St. Scholastica (Minn.) on April 11.

Pitcher
Stephanie Anderson, Senior (Milwaukee/King), Lefthanded Pitcher of UW-Stevens Point
Anderson went 3-0 for the week as the Pointers improved to 19-3 overall and 4-0 in the WIAC.  She pitched three innings in a 12-1 win over Northland College on April 9, striking out eight of the 10 batters she faced.  Anderson pitched six innings in a 8-0 victory over No. 5-ranked UW-Eau Claire on April 14 and contributed seven strikeouts and walked one as the Blugolds were shutout for the first time this season.  She had six strikeouts and allowed only one earned run in a 5-2 win over UW-Superior on April 15.  For the week, Anderson pitched 16.0 innings and allowed just two runs (one earned) with 10 hits, while striking out 21 batters.

Week of April 2 - 8

Maggie Digman, Senior (Dickeyville/Cuba City), Outfield of UW-Platteville
Digman had a first inning three-run home run and a second inning grand slam, propelling UW-Platteville to a 22-4 win over University of Dubuque (Iowa) on April 5.  She finished the game with four hits and eight RBIs, one shy of the school record.  In the doubleheader, she was five-for-nine with five runs scored, a double, two home runs and nine RBIs.

Pitcher
Brittany Rathbun, Junior (Rochester, Minn./Mayo), Righthanded Pitcher of UW-River Falls
Rathbun pitched a no-hitter in the team’s 5-0 win over Hamline University (Minn.) on April 6.  She faced 17 batters, two over the minimum, while striking out six and walking one.  A Hamline batter reached first on an error in the first inning.  The walk came to the lead off hitter in the second and she was later retired trying to advance on a fielding play.  The second batter in the fifth inning reached base on a throwing error. Rathbun retired the side in order in the third and fourth innings.

Week of March 26 - April 1
Position
Tera Burr, Sophomore (Shawano), Secondbase of UW-Platteville
Burr led UW-Platteville to a sweep of visiting Loras College (Iowa) on March 29 by going 7-9 (.778) with two home runs and four runs scored.  She homered to lead off the first game, leading the Pioneers to a 7-6 win.  In the second contest, her home run in the bottom of the eighth tied the score at 9-9, and the Pioneers went on to win 11-9.  Burr raised her season batting average to .556.

Krause fired a complete game shutout against Ripon College on March 29.  In the Pointers’ 8-0 six-inning victory, she allowed just one hit and struck out one batter.  It was her third straight shutout and she extended her consecutive scoreless innings pitched streak to 18.0.

Week of March 19 - 25
Position
Jill Janke, Junior (Black River Falls), Firstbase of UW-Eau Claire
Janke helped UW-Eau Claire compile a 7-1 record at the Sun West Games in Orange, Calif., including two victories over teams ranked in the NFCA Division III Top 25 poll.  In the eight games, she batted .455 (10-for-22) with 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored.  Janke belted four home runs and had one double to register a 1.045 slugging percentage.  In a 20-6 triumph over No. 22-ranked Williams College (Mass.) on March 22, she went three-for-three with three RBIs, three runs scored and a home run.

Pitcher
Ronessa Stampfli, Junior (Brodhead), Righthanded Pitcher of UW-Oshkosh
Stampfli pitched 29.0 innings without allowing an earned run as she posted a 3-1 record in four starting assignments.  She recorded three shutouts, including a five-inning no-hitter against Mid-America Christian University (Okla.) on March 19.  Stampfli also pitched a one-hit shutout against Oakland City University (Ind.) on March 20 and a seven-hit shutout against NCAA Division II University of West Florida on March 23.  She allowed two unearned runs in her loss to Spring Hill College (Ala.) on March 21.  Stampfli yielded just two runs and only 15 hits during the week while totaling 39 strikeouts.  She struck out the 505th batter of career during her no-hit performance to establish a WIAC record.

Week of Feb. 28 - March 18
Position
Laura Van Abel, Junior (Kaukauna), Shortstop of UW-Stevens Point
Van Abel enjoyed the best single-game hitting performance in school history against Augsburg College (Minn.) on March 9, finishing six-for-six with seven RBIs.  She hit for the cycle in her first four at-bats, including a three-run home run with her team trailing 3-0 in the third inning of an eventual 16-6 win.  Her six hits established a conference single-game record and she became the third player in NCAA Division III history to reach that mark.  Van Abel also went one-for-three in a 9-1 win in the second game to finish the day seven-for-nine at the plate.

Bertrand has appeared in 10 games for the Falcons this season and helped the squad to an 11-3 record.  She has started eight games and compiled a 5-1 record with one save and a 0.59 earned run average.  In 47.2 innings pitched, Bertrand has allowed 13 runs (four earned), while striking out 66 batters and walking eight.  She threw a complete game one-hitter and struck out 10 batters in a 3-1 victory over Lake Forest College (Ill.) on March 13.  Opponents are batting just .153 against her this year.
