Offense
Maggie Hoffman, Sophomore (Waukesha/South), Midfielder of UW-Oshkosh
Hoffman had a goal and an assist during the week to help UW-Oshkosh to a pair
of victories. In the Titans' 3-1 win over St. Norbert on October 26, she tallied
an assist on UW-Oshkosh's first goal. Hoffman recorded the game-winning goal
in a 2-0 victory over Elmhurst (Ill.) on October 29.

Claire
Talbot helped UW-Eau Claire record its league-leading 12th shutout of the season
with a 3-0 victory over Hamline (Minn.) on October 29. She won every 50/50 ball
that came into her area of the field and helped limit the Pipers to just six
shots in the game. The 12 shutouts this year for the Blugolds ties a school
single-season record.

Week of Oct. 17 - 23
Offense
Jen Schlesinger, Junior (Hartland/Arrowhead), Forward of UW-La Crosse
Schlesinger had two match-winning goals during the week. A transfer from Viterbo
University, Schlesinger scored the winning goal at 83:00 in UW-La Crosse's 2-1
victory over city-rival Viterbo on October 19. It was Viterbo's second loss
of the season. She then scored the winning goal with :13 remaining in the Eagles'
2-1 win at UW-Whitewater on October 21. The win over the Warhawks clinched a
WIAC Tournament berth for the Eagles.

Buxbaum allowed no goals in 172 minutes of play during the week, playing a half
in a 2-1 win over UW-Superior on October 18 and the entire 110 minutes in a
0-0 double overtime draw with UW-Eau Claire on October 21. Buxbaum finished
with 16 saves on the week, including 13 against the Blugolds. Buxbaum has not
allowed a goal since October 7 and she currently has a 0.50 goals against average.

Lizotte ran her personal game-winning goal streak to three in a row with a pair
of conference game-winners over the weekend as UW-Stout defeated UW-La Crosse,
1-0, and UW-Platteville, 1-0. Against the Eagles, she got the winner 22 minutes
into the game, while against the Pioneers, she ended the game with her goal
five minutes into the first overtime period.

Laurie Trifone, Sophomore (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert), Goalkeeper of UW-Platteville
Trifone and the Pioneers blanked UW-River Falls, 1-0, on October 14 for UW-Platteville's
first-ever victory over the Falcons and their first win over a WIAC school besides
UW-Superior since 1995. Trifone made 16 saves in the net against the Falcons.
She also made 15 in a 1-0 overtime loss to UW-Stout and 12 in a 1-0 setback
to UW-La Crosse. She allowed just two goals and stopped 43 shots in 275:26 of
play.

Claire
Meisinger recorded two game-winning goals against two regionally-ranked teams
during the week. In a 1-0 overtime victory over UW-River Falls on October 4,
she scored off a corner kick to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season.
In a 1-0 win over Loras (Iowa) on October 9, Meisinger scored in the 85th minute
on a beautiful through ball from Marcia Foltz to upend the Duhawks.

Weirick helped lead the Blugolds to a pair of shutouts over two regionally-ranked
teams during the week. She split time with teammate Allie Rivard in goal in
both matches and recorded two saves in the first half in a 1-0 overtime victory
over UW-River Falls on October 4. Weirick also added a save in the first half
in a 1-0 win against Loras (Iowa) on October 9. UW-Eau Claire has registered
a league-best nine shutouts in 12 matches this season, including four consecutive
shutouts.

Sarah Carlson, Senior (Plymouth, Minn./Armstrong), Forward of UW-River Falls
Carlson finished the week with three goals and three assists in victories over
UW-Superior on September 27 and UW-Stevens Point on October 1. She scored both
goals in the Falcons' 2-1 win over the Pointers, including the game-winner in
the 85th minute. Carlson scored a goal and assisted on the three more in the
7-0 victory over the Yellowjackets. She leads the conference with 27 points,
nine goals and nine assists.

Barutha yielded just one goal and tallied 12 saves in 136 minutes as UW-Oshkosh
edged UW-Stevens Point, 1-0, lost to UW-Eau Claire, 1-0, and defeated UW-Superior,
6-0. In the UW-Oshkosh' win over UW-Stevens Point on September 27, Barutha stopped
four shots as the Titans became the first WIAC opponent to shutout the Pointers
at home, a span of 63 matches. In UW-Oshkosh's loss to UW-Eau Claire on September
30, she yielded one goal and halted seven shots. She concluded the week by saving
one shot in UW-Oshkosh's win over UW-Superior on October 2.

Amanda Prawat, Freshman (Oregon), Forward of UW-Stevens Point
Prawat scored both of the Pointers' goals last week as they went 1-0-1 in WIAC
play. In Wednesday's match against UW-La Crosse, Prawat dribbled from midfield
and scored off an assist from Erin Walsh just 2:18 into the match. On Saturday,
she scored off an assist from Ali Havlik with 21 seconds left in the first overtime
to upend previously unbeaten UW-Stout 1-0. Prawat's two goals during the week
increased her team-leading total to six this season.

two goals in the two contests, a 1-1 double overtime tie with UW-Stevens Point
on September 21 and a 2-1 double overtime win over 19th-ranked Washington (Mo.)
on September 24.

Kooistra scored two goals in 1:17 to help give UW-Eau Claire a 2-1 victory over
UW-La Crosse on September 17. She scored goals at 52:28 and 53:45 to give the
Blugolds a 2-0 lead against the Eagles. The win put the Blugolds on top of the
conference standings with a 2-0-0 record.

Foltz scored or assisted on every goal during the week as UW-Eau Claire posted
shutout victories over St. Thomas (Minn.) on September 8 and Illinois Wesleyan
on September 11. In a 3-0 win over the Tommies, Foltz assisted on all three
Blugold goals, which were scored with 29 minutes of each other. She scored the
only goal in a 1-0 victory over the Titans on a penalty kick at 34:51 in the
first half.

(Minn.) (5-0) on September 11. She made four saves against the Oles and two
against the Saints. Tvedt has not allowed a goal since 28:34 in the first half
of the first match of the season against Carleton (Minn.) - a span of 287:26.

Watry totaled three goals in two games as UW-La Crosse opened the 2005 with
a pair of victories. She scored the Eagles' first goals in a 3-1 season-opening
win over Lawrence on September 1. Watry then scored the first two goals in a
7-1 win at Cornell (Iowa) on September 3.

Trifone allowed just one goal in two games, both of which went into double overtime.
The Pioneers defeated Dubuque (Iowa), 2-1, on September 1 and tied Coe (Iowa),
0-0, on September 3. Trifone made six saves against Spartans and wasn't challenged
against Coe, as the Kohawks had two shots in the match.
