Offense
Kiley Zellner, Sophomore (Green Bay/Preble), Midfielder of UW-Eau Claire
Zellner scored two goals in the Blugolds only match last week against
Elmhurst (Ill.). The second of her two goals was the eventual game-winner in
the 3-1 victory.

Nomington not only handled much of the defensive duties against UW-Superior,
but added a pair of assists from her defensive position. She played a pivotal
role as the Blue Devils set a school record with eight shutouts (including three
in the WIAC), and a team goals against average of 0.94 on the year.

Cynthia Fudzinski, Sophomore (Pewaukee), Forward of UW-La Crosse
Fudzinski scored three goals in a pair of wins for the Eagles last week. She
had the game-winning goal at the 89:37 mark in UW-La Crosse's 2-1 victory at
UW-Stout. Fudzinski also added two goals in a victory over UW-Superior.

Kelly Fink, Junior (West Bend/West), Forward of UW-Stevens Point
Fink scored seven goals, including three game-winners, in three matches last
week. She tied a school record by scoring four goals in a game in a 4-0 victory
at Carleton (Minn.). On Saturday, Fink scored 2:30 into overtime to give the
Pointers a 2-1 win over UW-River Falls and their 10th WIAC title in 11 years.
Earlier in the week, Fink had two goals and two assists in a 6-0 win over UW-Stout.

Jennrich allowed just two goals in three games last week with a pair of shutouts.
In a 1-0 win at Bethel (Minn.), she made four saves and in a 7-0 win over Ripon
she made one. Her best effort was a 20-save performance against conference leader
UW-Stevens Point.

Gilfillan helped the Falcons gain a pair of ties last week. In a 1-1 draw at
Augsburg (Minn.), she scored the lone UW-River Falls goal in the 67th minute.
In a 2-2 tie at UW-Stout, she scored both Falcon goals in the 49th and 68th
minute as the Falcons extended their unbeaten streak to eight matches. Gilfillan
has scored a school record 22 goals this season, breaking the old mark of 20
set by Kate Pelinka in 1999.

Rau controlled the midfield well as UW-Oshkosh posted a pair of shutouts last
week. The Titans defeated UW-La Crosse 2-0 on Saturday and followed that performance
with a 3-0 victory over Coe (Iowa).

Porter got the Pointers on the board first in a pivotal conference match against
UW-Eau Claire. She netted her third goal of the season, heading in a cross from
Andrea Spiel in the 19th minute. Porter assisted on Jenny Bruce's goal later
in the match to give the Pointers the 3-1 victory and remain in sole possession
of first-place in the WIAC.

Schneider commanded a defense that allowed only seven shots in a pair of shutouts,
running the Blue Devils shutout streak to 240 minutes. UW-Stout defeated Upper
Midwest Athletic Conference leader Martin Luther (Minn.), 3-0, and UW-Platteville
5-0.

Powell scored three goals and added four assists in three matches last week
to give her an impressive 10 points. Her two assists on Sunday helped push the
Blugolds past an 8-0 Luther (Iowa) team by a score of 2-1. The three wins extended
the Blugolds unbeaten streak to seven matches.

Jennrich made several key stops as the Falcons won two matches last week, including
a 2-1 win over UW-Oshkosh. Against the Titans, she made 20 saves and allowed
just the one goal. In a win over Concordia-St. Paul (Minn.) she made eight saves.

Spiel helped the fourth-ranked Pointers come back from a 1-0 deficit against
Chicago (Ill.) and earn a 3-1 victory. The Pointers first two goals came off
corner kicks by Spiel. The first resulted in a Chicago own goal, and the second
was headed in by Molly Cady to give the Pointers the lead for good.

0-0 tie Saturday in Eau Claire. Ehlen and the entire Blue Devil defense allowed
no shots on goal inside the box.

Gilfillan scored five of the teams nine goals last week. She scored all
three in the teams 3-1 win at UW-Platteville on Saturday and came back
to add two more in a 4-1 win at Wisconsin Lutheran on Sunday. Gilfillan currently
leads the WIAC in points (20) and goals (10).

Cady led the Pointers defense that did not allow a goal in three games
last week, and has only given up two goals this season. She dished out the game-winning
assist in a 1-0 victory at Macalester (Minn.) that snapped the Scots 52-match
home unbeaten streak. Cady also added a goal and assist against UW-Superior.

Powell scored both goals in a 3-2 double overtime loss at Macalester (Minn.),
which had a home field unbeaten streak of 50 going into their showdown with
the Blugolds. She also drew praise from head coach Sean Yengo for her performance
in a 3-1 win at the St. Benedict (Minn.), which was ranked No. 6 in the Central
Region.

2-0. She had five saves in UW-Stouts 4-0 win over St. Scholastica (Minn.),
September 4, then made an early 1-0 lead standup against Graceland (Iowa) Sunday
when she stopped 13 shots.

Fink scored three goals in the Pointers trip to Texas last weekend. She scored
the Pointers first two goals in a 3-0 victory over Southwestern (Texas)
on Friday. On Sunday, she split two defenders and beat the goalkeeper from 15
yards out to give the Pointers a 1-0 victory over Trinity (Texas).

Mory led the Pointers to a pair of shutout victories, 3-0 over Southwestern
(Texas) and 1-0 over Trinity (Texas) last weekend. It was the first time in
school history the Pointers have opened the season with two shutouts on the
road. The victory over Trinity snapped the Tigers 31-game home winning
streak, the longest such streak in the country and second-longest in NCAA Division
III history.
