Alliant Energy Corporation Becomes a Corporate Partner of the WIAC
Madison, Wis.--Alliant Energy Corporation has agreed to become a corporate
partner with the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) for a
three year period beginning with the 2003-04 academic year.
"As a Wisconsin-based company, we're pleased to be a WIAC Corporate Partner,"
said Tim Heinrich, Manager-Branding and Production Services Alliant Energy.
"Wisconsin's Universities help make this a great place to live and work
and the WIAC helps develop fine student-athletes that make all of us proud to
be from Wisconsin. We're proud to support the most prestigious and competitive
non-scholarship conference in the NCAA, the Conference of Champions."
In making this announcement, WIAC Commissioner Dr. Gary F. Karner commented
that "the WIAC is extremely pleased and fortunate to have Alliant Energy
join its corporate partner program. Alliant Energy has been a valued supporter
of various WIAC events, including the 'Border Battle', over the past five years
and their participation as a full-fledge corporate partner will take our relationship
to another level."
Alliant Energy joins American Family Insurance, Ministry Health Care, Holiday
Inn, U.S. Cellular, and the Wisconsin Education Association Council as major
corporate partners of the WIAC.

UW-Whitewater.
