Scholastic Honor Roll and All-Academic Awards Announced
Madison, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the student-athletes receiving recognition to the 2006-07 Scholastic Honor Roll and the schools securing the All-Academic Award.
During the 2006-07 academic year, nearly 50 percent of the student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale) and were named to the Scholastic Honor Roll.
The conference also presented an All-Academic Award to those institutions that had a grade point average for its student-athletes that was equal to, or greater than, the grade point average of the overall student body. Institutions receiving the All-Academic Award included: UW-La Crosse, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls, UW-Superior and UW-Whitewater.
Individuals named to the Scholastic Honor Roll will receive a certificate recognizing the achievement, while institutions claiming All-Academic Awards will collect a plaque.
