UW-Stout’s Elliott Earns Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Accolades

MADISON, Wis.
--University of Wisconsin-Stout’s Isaac Elliott has been named to the 2018 NCAA Division III Academic All-District® Six Men’s Basketball First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
 
Elliott, a senior from Stevens Point, Wis. (Pacelli), sustains a 3.88 grade point average and is majoring in computer engineering with a minor in computer science and math. He is the first player in program history to receive Academic All-District® recognition.
 
The squad includes NCAA Division III student-athletes from Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Elliott is eligible for the Academic All-America® Team that will be announced on March 14.
 
In order to be eligible for the Academic All-America® program, nominees must: be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials; have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) in both undergrad and graduate work; have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution and completed at least one calendar year at the institution; and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games.
