All-WIAC Men’s Ice Hockey Team Selected

MADISON, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its All-Conference Team for the 2012-13 season based on a vote conducted by the league coaches.
Repeat selections on the first team from a season ago include: UW-Eau Claire’s Jordan Singer; UW-River Falls’ Scott Lewan and George Malliaras; UW-Stevens Point’s Kyle Heck; and UW-Superior’s Pat Dalbec and Jeff Forsythe. Singer was also a first team honoree in 2011.
UW-Eau Claire head coach Matt Loen claimed the Coach of the Year honor after leading the Blugolds to their first-ever WIAC championship and a school-record 19 victories. He won the coaching plaque for the third time in the last four seasons.
An All-Sportsmanship Team was selected for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each school.
