--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse secured its second consecutive title following three days of competition at the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center on Feb. 16.
 
The Eagles captured the 13th first-place finish in program archives after compiling 910.50 points to top UW-Stevens Point’s second-place sum of 695 points.  UW-Whitewater took third with 652 points, UW-Eau Claire fourth with 641.50, UW-Oshkosh fifth with 199 and UW-River Falls sixth with 149.
 
UW-La Crosse secured three individual crowns and one relay title during the third day of competition.  Brooke Reynolds won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.86, while Andrea Kolitsch posted a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:07.63.
 
Sara Zemanovic captured the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.18 and was a member of the triumphant 400-yard freestyle relay team that had a time of 3:28.79.  She was joined on the team by Elise O’Neill, Erica O’Neill and Abby Diehl.
 
UW-Whitewater’s Amy Spaay broke the conference meet record enroute to winning the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:14.86.  She was chosen the Swimmer of the Meet.  Spaay’s teammate, Sierra Becker, won the one-meter diving competition with a score of 436.10, and earned the Diver of the Meet honor.
 
UW-Eau Claire’s Lisa Reed claimed the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:42.59.
 
UW-La Crosse’s Charlie King was selected the Coach of the Year.  UW-Eau Claire’s Grace Fair, UW-La Crosse’s Abby Diehl and UW-Stevens Point’s Andrea Wagner were named tri-recipients of the Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award.
