MADISON, Wis.--For the sixth consecutive season, at least two teams will represent the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse received an automatic bid into the 56-team field by winning the WIAC tournament, while UW-Whitewater earned one of 18 available at-large bids. Both the Eagles and Warhawks will compete in an eight-team, double-elimination regional hosted by UW-Whitewater.

UW-La Crosse (33-9) is making the program’s first NCAA appearance since 1998 and will open against Aurora University (Ill.) (36-8) on May 16 at 7:00 p.m.

UW-Whitewater (29-15) is appearing in the NCAA event for the fifth straight year, and 15th overall, and will face Concordia University-Chicago (Ill.) (33-12) on May 16 at 10:00 a.m. The Warhawks won the national title in 2005.

Also participating in the Whitewater regional will be: University of St. Thomas (Minn.) (34-8); North Park University (Ill.) (32-12); College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) (33-9); and St. Norbert College (Wis.) (26-11).
