UW-River Falls Splits Its Games; UW-Eau Claire Eliminated In NCAA Softball

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls split its contests, while UW-Eau Claire was eliminated in regional games of the NCAA Division III Softball Championship on May 12.

UW-River Falls (32-14) opened the day with a 2-0 triumph over Coe College (Iowa) in Pella, Iowa, but dropped a 1-0 decision to Luther College (Iowa). The Falcons will meet Coe again in an elimination contest on May 13 at noon, with the winner facing Luther at 2 p.m.

Competing in Bloomington, Ill., UW-Eau Claire was eliminated after a 4-1 defeat to Carthage College (Wis.). The Blugolds completed the 2012 campaign with a 33-14 record and made the program’s 10th appearance in the NCAA championship.
