MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Stout’s Brittany McNett-Emmerich received Player of the Year honors to lead the 10 individuals on the 2012 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Golf Team.

The team was determined by using the NCAA Division III GolfStat rankings immediately following the conclusion of the conference championship.  A player must have completed eight rounds in order to be eligible.

McNett-Emmerich is the first player in program history to receive the Player of the Year plaque.  She boasted a league-best 78.1 stroke average in 12 rounds and captured medalist honors at the WIAC championship, Wartburg (Iowa) Fall Invitational, Border Battle and UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invitational.  McNett-Emmerich was an All-WIAC second team honoree a year ago.

Repeat selections on the All-WIAC first team from 2011 included:  UW-Eau Claire’s Catherine Wagner and UW-Whitewater’s Nicole Westcott.  Wagner was also a first team choice in 2009 and 2010, and becomes the fourth individual in program archives to secure first team honors four consecutive years.
