WIAC Teams Earn NSCAA Team Academic Award

MADISON, Wis.--Five Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference soccer teams have earned a Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the 2010-11 season.
Women’s teams receiving recognition included: UW-Eau Claire (3.26), UW-Stevens Point (3.11), UW-Superior (3.07) and UW-Whitewater (3.14). UW-Oshkosh’s men’s squad claimed the honor after posting a 3.07 mark.
The award was presented to teams finishing with a 3.0 grade point average or better during the 2010-11 season. A total of 792 teams were named recipients, including 220 men's and 572 women's teams.
