NCAA Division III

The WIAC competes at the NCAA Division III level.

Wisconsin High Schools

Over 80 percent of all student-athletes competing in the WIAC are products of Wisconsin high schools. The WIAC is truly the "Conference of Wisconsin".

TV Agreement

In 2006, the WIAC became the first and only conference in the history of Division III to enter into its own television broadcast agreement.

Love of the Game

WIAC student-athletes compete without the benefit of athletic aid or scholarships. They compete for the love of their game.

Directors' Cup

The 2010-11 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup final standings found five of the nine WIAC institutions in the Top 32.

Enrollment

The nine institutions of the WIAC have a total student enrollment of approximately 70,000.

Over 350,000 WIAC alumni currently reside within the state of Wisconsin.

GPA

Nearly 50 percent of the student-athletes competing in the WIAC achieve a 3.0 grade point average or better.

In 2011-12, 47 WIAC head coaches are coaching at their alma mater.

National Championships

In the last 10 years, 49 national championship team titles have been crowned in the WIAC.

WIAC Volleyball To Support Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer Awareness

MADISON, Wis.--For the fourth straight year, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s volleyball teams will participate in promotions to support Breast Cancer Awareness.

Each of the nine WIAC teams will be involved in at least one promotional event throughout the months of September and October. Over the past three seasons, conference teams have raised $60,648 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The following WIAC matches will feature the promotions: UW-Oshkosh at UW-Stevens Point (Sept. 28), UW-La Crosse at UW-Platteville (Oct. 5), UW-Platteville at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 11), UW-Stout at UW-River Falls (Oct. 12), UW-River Falls at UW-Eau Claire (Oct. 19), UW-Oshkosh at UW-La Crosse (Oct. 19), UW-Whitewater at UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 26), UW-Platteville at UW-Superior (Oct. 28), UW-Oshkosh at UW-Stout (Oct. 28).

Various promotional activities will take place at each match to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Spectators are encouraged to wear pink clothing in support of all those affected by breast cancer.
