Warhawks Earn NCAA Men’s Soccer Bid

NCAA Men's SoccerMADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater earned a bid into the 2009 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship after claiming one of three available Pool B berths into the 59-team field. 

Pool B spots consist of independent institutions and institutions that are members of conferences that do not meet the requirements for automatic qualification.

UW-Whitewater (11-5-3) will compete in NCAA first round action at Dominican College in River Forest, Ill., and face St. Olaf College (Minn.) (13-4-2) on Nov. 14.  The winner of UW-Whitewater/St. Olaf matchup will advance to the second round on Nov. 15, and meet the winner of Dominican (15-1-3) and Elmhurst College (Ill.) (12-3-4).

The Warhawks are appearing in the NCAA event for the ninth time in program history and own an all-time mark of 6-7-2.
