Aron Kehoe, Junior (Monroe), of UW-Whitewater
Kehoe won the 800-meter run at the first Annual Squig Converse Invitational in Whitewater. He broke the automatic qualifying standard of 1:52.80 by clocking 1:52.62. Kehoe also broke the school record of 1:52.70 which was held by Steve Melzer since 1988. Kehoe's time is also the second-fastest time in the country to date.

Daniel Drewek, Sophomore (Athens), of UW-Stout
Drewek automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship in the pole vault with a jump of 5.10m (16-8 3/4) at UW-Superior’s Border Battle on Feb. 6. He finished first in the event by more than two feet and broke his own school record. The mark ties him for first on this year’s NCAA Division III performance list.

Matt Gordy, Senior (Whitewater), of UW-La Crosse
Gordy won the 60-meter dash at the Minnesota State-Mankato Open on Jan. 30. His winning time of 6.85 converts to 6.37 in the 55-meter dash and ranks as the third-fastest time in the NCAA Division III this year. Gordy was also second in the 200-meter dash at the event with a time of 22.35, the fastest time in the WIAC this season.

David Litsheim, Freshman (Appleton/East), of UW-Stevens Point
Litsheim finished first in the mile run with a time of 4:13.11 at the UW-Eau Claire Triangular. His time is the top NCAA qualifying time to date. Litsheim also ran the fastest leg (49.9 seconds) of the 4x400 meter relay team that finished first with the nation’s fastest NCAA qualifying time of 3:20.2.

Ben Ludtke, Sophomore (Lyons/Burlington), of UW-Oshkosh
Ludke won the 35-pound weight throw to help the Titans capture the team title at the UW-Oshkosh Open held Jan. 22. He recorded a winning toss of 61-9, with his mark surpassing the automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship. The event featured 13 participants, with UW-Oshkosh’s Tony Baker placing second with a distance of 61-5. UW-Oshkosh finished first in the team standings with 260 points, while Ripon College placed second with 47 and Lawrence University third with 41.

Ben Zill, Senior (New Franken/Green Bay Preble), of UW-Oshkosh
Zill won two individual events and ran on a first-place relay team as UW-Oshkosh defeated the University of Chicago (Ill.), 109-48, in its home opener on Jan. 9. Zill posted winning times of 7.96 in the 55-meter hurdles and 50.04 in the 400-meter run. He also teamed with John Cejka, Chris Lipke and Zach Schimenz to record a first-place time of 3:27.75 in the 1,600-meter relay. Zill added a third-place finish in the high jump with a leap of 6-2.

Tony Baker, Junior (Oshkosh/North), of UW-Oshkosh
Baker posted two wins in the shot put as UW-Oshkosh competed in a dual meet against the University of Chicago (Ill.) on Jan. 9, and at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Opener on Jan. 16. In UW-Oshkosh’s 109-48 home victory against the University of Chicago, Baker won the shot put with a toss of 49-3 3/4 and finished second in the 35-pound weight throw with a distance of 56-0. At the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Opener, Baker won both the shot put and 35-pound weight throw with marks of 50-1 3/4 and 57-11 1/4, respectively. Baker surpassed the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship in the 35-pound weight throw in both meets.
