Competing against Hamline University (Minn.) on Feb. 27, DeLara took first place in the balance beam with a score of 9.675.  She also added second-place finishes in the vault (9.500) and floor exercise (9.200).

Hargens secured the all-around title (38.100) against Hamline University (Minn.) on Feb. 27.  She was victorious in the uneven bars (9.575) and the floor exercise (9.650), while placing second in the balance beam (9.425) and third in the vault (9.450).

Hooper won the vault at NCAA Division I Illinois State University on Feb. 22 with a school record mark of 9.900.  She also placed fifth on the floor exercise with a score of 9.750.  Her score on the vault is the highest in the WIAC this season.

Justine WeyerJustine Weyer, Junior (Colgate/Germantown), of UW-Whitewater
In a 187.625-175-925 dual meet victory over UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 20, Weyer grabbed first-place honors in the all-around (38.300), vault (9.800), uneven bars (9.550), tied for first place in the balance beam (9.600) and finished fifth in the floor exercise (9.350).  Her score in the all-around lands her in second place in the school record book.  In the dual meet, the Warhawks set a team record in the vault (47.850) and posted the second-highest finishes in the uneven bars (45.775) and balance beam (47.075).

Week of Feb. 9 - 15
Specialist
Laura HansenLaura Hansen, Senior (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley), of Gustavus Adolphus College
Hansen turned in scores of 9.650 on the balance beam and 9.200 on the uneven parallel bars at the Best of Minnesota meet on Feb. 14.  Her score on the balance beam tied the third-highest score ever achieved by a Gustie gymnast in the event and bettered her personal best score by 0.625 points.  Hansen was the top NCGA finisher in both events as she placed fifth on the beam and sixth on the uneven bars.  Gustavus finished third at the competition and posted a season-high team score of 179.925.

Meghan HargensMeghan Hargens, Junior (Rosemount, Minn.), of UW-Stout
Against two NCAA Division I opponents, Meghan Hargens took first place in the all-around and set a school record in the combined event with a score of 38.450.  She also set a school record in the uneven bars, breaking a mark she had set the previous week by scoring a 9.575, placing sixth. Hargens placed sixth on the floor exercise with a personal best of 9.775.  She was ninth on the balance beam (9.70) and 12th on the vault (9.40). As a team, UW-Stout set a school record with a score of 183.825 and set individual event marks on the vault, balance beam and floor exercise.  The Blue Devils finished third in the meet hosted by the University of Arizona and attended by Brown University.

In a 180.100-179.625 dual meet win over UW-Whitewater on Feb. 6, DeLara finished first on the floor exercise with a mark of 9.600 and tied her personal best on the vault with a second-place score of 9.425.  She also finished sixth on the balance beam with a 9.500.

Kristen WenigerKristen Weniger, Senior (Eagan, Minn.), of Hamline University
Weniger won three of four individual events and the all-around to lead the Pipers to a 178.675-172.950 dual meet victory over UW-Eau Claire on Feb. 6.  She scored a personal-best 37.775 points (vault - 9.525, uneven bars - 9.350, beam - 9.275, floor - 9.625) en route to winning the all-around title. The all-around victory was Weniger's second in as many meets.  Her score on vault was also a personal best and she won the vault, bars, and floor exercise titles.  Weniger has one at least one event title in every Piper meet this season.

At the four team John Zuerlein Invitational on Jan. 30, where UW-Stout tied with UW-Oshkosh for first, DeLara won the balance beam (9.55) and tied teammate Meghan Hargens on the floor exercise (9.35).  She finished third on the vault (9.275).  In a 177.150-174.625 loss to Winona State University (Minn.) on Jan. 26, DeLara again won the balance beam (9.70) and the vault (9.425).  She was second on the floor exercise (9.325).

George won the balance beam in a pair of dual meets and also recorded a first-place finish in the uneven bars.  Against Winona State University (Minn.) on Jan. 23, she was victorious in the balance beam (9.550) and placed second in the uneven bars (9.450).  Her score of 9.550 in the balance beam ranks as the fifth-best entry in the school record book.  Against Hamline University (Minn.) on Jan. 25, George won the uneven bars (9.550) and the balance beam (9.550), while finishing sixth in the floor exercise (9.400).

Weyer claimed the all-around title in dual meets against Winona State University (Minn.) and Hamline University (Minn.).  Against the Warriors, she compiled a 37.900 - a mark that ranks sixth in the Warhawk record book.  She also claimed first place in the uneven bars (9.600) and floor exercise (9.525), while finishing second in the balance beam (9.500) and fourth in the vault (9.275).  Against the Pipers, Weyer totaled a 37.325 after finishing first in the vault (9.650), fourth in both the uneven bars (9.075) and floor exercise (9.500) and fifth in the balance beam (9.100).

In a dual meet against Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Jan. 8, Baudhuin placed first in the balance beam (9.350) and floor exercise (9.225), while finishing second on the vault (9.125).  The Warriors defeated the Gusties 176.925-171.225 in the first meet of the year for both squads.
