UW-Stevens Point's Josh Perkins ties a school record with 15 strikeouts as the Pointers defeat UW-Oshkosh 3-0 in an elimination game at the WIAC Tournament in Wisconsin Rapids. Perkins did not allow a base hit after the fouth inning.

UW-SP will now play Sunday at 10:00 a.m. versus the loser of UW-La Crosse/UW-Whitewater.

The Pointers scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the third as Nat Richter and Adam Evanoff each had RBI singles and Ryan Byrnes an RBI double.

Seven different players had a base hit for the Pointers while Josh Shere was 2-2 for UW-Oshkosh.

Perkins pitched nine innings, allowing five hits and four walks while stiking out 15. Adam Bretl suffered the loss for the Titans, pitching 2 2/3 allowing five hits, three runs and one walk, while striking out two.
